Members of the IUA's Professional Lines Claims Committee identified that agreeing cost sharing arrangements between markets for both defence and coverage costs is becoming increasingly challenging in the London Market. In order to provide market participants with a common starting point for negotiations and to improve the efficiency of cost sharing arrangements, the committee developed a guidance paper detailing the issues and establishing some common principles. It is intended that this document, available to download via the above link, will provide a useful reference point for negotiations and helps ensure the London Market remains a centre of excellence for claims.
