NEW IUA BOARD MEMBER APPOINTED

The Board of the International Underwriting Association has been strengthened with the addition of another senior London Market figure to its ranks. Chris Beazley is Chief Commercial Officer at SCOR Business Solutions and Chief Executive Officer of SCOR UK and SCOR Syndicate. He was appointed to the IUA Board at its February meeting.

The Board is responsible for governing and overseeing all the association’s work in seeking to secure an optimal trading environment for London insurance companies. It comprises up to 20 member representatives who are all in senior executive positions.

Beazley has 25 years of industry experience having worked for underwriting and broking firms in the UK, Switzerland, Singapore and the US. He has held a number of leadership roles across the insurance and reinsurance sector, including a two-year secondment as CEO of the London Market Group.

Chris Jones, Chief Executive of the IUA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Christopher Beazley to the IUA Board. His extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of our market will be invaluable as we strive to create an optimal trading environment for London insurers.”
