Why opt for a ‘claims made’ over ‘losses occurring’ basis of contract? What did the Insurance Act 2015 mean for warranties? How might the contra proferentem principle impact the reading of my contract in a court of law?

This IUA policy wordings masterclass will consider key introductory questions and concepts related to the fundamentals of insurance contracts, which are the cornerstone of the insurance process. This event is aimed predominantly at junior practitioners and will benefit underwriting, claims, broking and service provider representatives.

Our expert wordings practitioners will address the absolute need for contract clarity and establish why an effective insurance process is underpinned by a clear and comprehensive policy wording that meets the needs of parties to the contract and is well understood by those parties.

With reference to real wordings examples addressing key coverage concepts, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussion and debate and hear from insurance wordings practitioners on key considerations to ensuring contract clarity.
