Following on from the success of the inaugural 2025 event, The Joint Energy Claims Group (JECG) will again be hosting a half-day conference for energy claims practitioners across the company and Lloyd’s market and provide insight into the key issues facing the energy market.

Our agenda (still in production) will include panel sessions with experts discussing the value brokers add in the insurance chain, as well as a candid discussion with the loss adjuster community on what claims handling really needs more of and less of. There will also be a session on market differences between retail and wholesale brokers. Updates on wordings, and legal developments will also be provided.

Market Differences – Regional, Wholesale, and Retail
This session will explore the differences across London, US and whole world market. This will also cover the differences between wholesale vs retail broker. This will also cover the differences between wholesale and retail broker, and how this differs to the roles played by a pricing broker and underwriter

Broker Panel Session

Wordings Update / Challenges & Legal Headlines Update

Vendor Management Panel Session A candid discussion with the loss adjuster community on what claims handling really needs more of and less of, from soft skills to effective vendor management and market expectations.

The event will be relevant for all energy claims practitioners dealing with onshore, offshore, upstream and / or downstream business.
