Examining the potential of DMaaS
Insurers use of data and analytics is the focus of a new report published by WNS. Whilst many firms recognise its critical importance, many do not identify investing in this area as a top business priority, often citing a need for more maturity in data management technology.
The report states that this raises an intriguing question: can a Chief Data Officer (CDO) fulfil their responsibilities more effectively within a collaborative ‘Data Management as a Service (DMaaS)’ ecosystem? Organisations must adopt a dedicated and committed approach to harness data as the business differentiator. The London Market is considered to be a compelling case for adopting the DMaaS model, primarily due to the volume and complexity of transactions that make it challenging to define and execute a robust data strategy.
