We are pleased to announce details of the 2024 Professional Indemnity Form (PIF) Test, an introductory level course and examination designed for Professional Indemnity (PI) practitioners to improve their working knowledge of the class of business.
Since its inception in 2016 several hundred practitioners from the underwriting, claims, broking, MGA and legal sectors have undertaken the PIF Test. The PIF Test study text used by candidates outlines the key aspects of the main professional indemnity classes of business, how to understand policy provisions and key legal concepts affecting the market. It also includes a more in-depth analysis of specific professions and a section on the underwriting and risk management process.
We have now updated the Study Text for the 2024 PIF Test. We utilise an online examination platform and expect to put on several runs of the Test through the year with the first sitting of the exam in July 2024 and further exams in Q3 and Q4 of 2024 (specific dates to be confirmed).
