UN 5 Sep 2017 S/Res/2374 (2017) imposes travel ban and asset freeze on designated individuals and entities that threaten the peace, security and stability of Mali. On the 30 Aug 2018 the UN renewed sanctions, travel ban and asset freeze until 31 Aug 2019 initially imposed by Res/2374 (2017) now Res/2432 (2018)The UN Security Council renewed its Mali sanctions (travel ban and asset freeze) until 31 Aug 2020 by adopting Resolution 2484 (2019).  All restrictive measures (travel ban and asset freeze) renewed until 31 Aug 2021 by adopting S/Res/2541 (2020).
US On the 26 Jul 2019 the US introduced EO13882 which authorises asset freeze and travel bans on Malian individuals and entities which are deemed to have threatened the peace and security of Mali. All restrictive measures under EO13882 were renewed for a further year until 26 July 2021.
EU (CFSP) 2017/1775 implements UN sanctions with regard to asset freeze and travel bans.
