Financial institutions face an ever evolving range of frauds and criminal attacks. This market briefing will discuss both internal and external fraud, covering topics such as employee infidelity, Internet banking frauds and banking frauds committed by organised crime in South America and Eastern Europe.
The presentation will highlight tactics such as Tiger Kidnapping, Tunnel Construction, the Honey Trap approach as well as direct violent attacks.
Stephen Watters presentation will concentrate on the losses from premises and vault risks, as opposed to transit and armoured vehicle attacks, and will be examining the insurance of the cash in transit industry with particular reference to the type of losses that are currently being sustained. Recent loss examples from his experience as a specie reinsurance loss adjuster working principally in Latin America and the Caribbean will be exampled.
Kerry Gillard’s speech will focus on fraud within insurance of the global banking industry with particular reference to the type of frauds and attacks that are being experienced. Kerry will be using recent loss examples from various regions of the world, based on his experience as a bank surveyor and fraud investigator.
