This workshop is designed for fully qualified professionals in the field of personal injury claims, including claims handlers and lawyers, who wish to develop a greater understanding of the processes and dynamics that can lead to the use of rehabilitation. The aim is to identify the barriers to rehabilitation and to explore ways of overcoming them through hearing the perspectives of three experienced practitioners followed by interactive role play and a lively question and answer session.

Mark Sharpe, Robin de Wilde QC and Angela Kerr are all senior practitioners, who between them can discuss the experiences of insurers, claimant lawyers and care providers in trying to get rehabilitation for injured people where appropriate. They will identify the barriers to rehabilitation and the measures that will, in their experience, lead to successful outcomes.

The event will end with a summary and ‘take home’ points for the audience.

Our first in a series of a CAT events, whose aim is to facilitate review the challenges faced by the injured party and those around them. How does the claims process impact the process and what can practitioners from the legal and insurance profession as well as the rehabilitation professions do to support and foster independence?

This series is designed to draw insight and debate from experienced professions, as well as to provide a platform of education for those solicitors and claims handlers who are new to working with CAT injury cases.
