Insurance personnel who are engaged in any way in the presentation, processing, or negotiation of insurance claims in California need to be familiar with the Regulations imposed by the state. All claims handlers and underwriters involved in resolving California claims are therefore required to undergo annual training.

This market briefing satisfies such training requirements. Each one will feature an explanation and compliance timeframe to ensure that you stay up to date with the most recent claims-handling information.
All participants will receive a certificate indicating that they have satisfied those requirements.
 
Overseeing proceedings for this event will be Dean Hansell of Hogan Lovells LLP, who has been leading these seminars for many years, and Dan Christensen, Executive Vice-President of Frye Claims Consultation & Administration.
Dean Hansell is a well-known court room advocate who has represented the London Market for many years and has handled numerous insurance and reinsurance matters, including insurance insolvency, bad faith, insurance fraud, E & O, D & O, coverage, market conduct investigations and regulatory. He is the author of numerous articles concerning insurance, reinsurance and insurance insolvency and is also the former Police Commissioner of Los Angeles and handles a number of fraud matters for the insurance industry.

Dan Christenesen is Executive Vice-President, GA level for Property, Casualty, Inland Marine and Business Interruption lines. He has twenty years' industry experience in multi-line Property cases including HO, CP, BOP, CD, MTCC, IM, PAP, Wet Marine, Boat Hull, Business Interruption and light Aircraft Hull policies plus extensive construction experience for all trades. Dan also lectures on California Fair Claims and technical expertise. As an ex-Insurance Agent, General Contractor, Securities Agent and Realtor, he has extensive experience and serves the San Francisco Bay Area, to Sacramento and Central California.
