The past year has seen the IUA assisting its member companies through testing economic and market conditions. The balance of our work between regulatory issues and technical underwriting and claims support is now roughly equal.
At all times I have encouraged the association’s secretariat to provide tangible services that clearly demonstrate value to our members. In recent months we have produced more such products than I can ever recall before, including for example our sanctions database, premium payment reports, model clauses and many more.

We have also produced a comprehensive statistical survey of London company market premiums. The total market figure of £16.5bn gross written premium has enhanced our voice when representing members' interests to government and regulators.

The annual report contains updates on the all the association’s activities over the past year. I hope it will be of interest to you and your colleagues and clients. If you would like further information on any of the topics, please do not hesitate to contact me.
