John began his insurance career in 1970 with Pearl Assurance. He moved into the Lloyd's market in 1976, holding senior project and operational management positions with The Corporation of Lloyd's, an underwriting agency, a broker and the Lloyd's Underwriters' Non-Marine Association over a combined period of 25 years. Before joining the IUA John also held senior management positions at insurance solutions providers Capita Insurance Services and The Rubicon Corporation.
