The IUA has always played a leading role in efforts to improve the efficiency of business processes in the London Market. It currently operates a Market Reform Implementation Steering Group, a Market Reform Project Manager Network and an Electronic Claims File Implementation Group to support members in this area. The IUA is also well represented on various cross-market bodies, including the Market Reform Group.

The Market Reform Contact Network is a group of individuals with various roles within member firms, but all with some involvement or responsibility for various aspects of market reform. They have agreed to share their contact details and experiences with each other through informal networking, which the IUA facilitates by organising roundtable sessions every six weeks or so. The MRCN is often asked to provide input to help shape initiatives that are in their formative stages of development.
