Lynne joined the British Insurers’ European Committee, the body which represents UK insurance associations internationally, as a technical translator in 1977. After several years as the Association of British Insurers’ Senior Translator, during which time she also served as French Examiner for the Chartered Insurance Institute, she took up an administrative role within its European department, running committees & liaising with her opposite numbers in insurance associations elsewhere in Europe & the European trade federation (CEA).  Lynne left the ABI in March 2001 and joined the IUA.
